  • AsterClick
AsterClick is an HTML5/WebSocket based gateway to the Asterisk AMI interface allowing web based applications real time control of all aspects of Asterisk that are accessible from AMI (Which is basically everything).

This is NOT AJAX, but rather something far far superior, as unlike AJAX, HTML5 browsers can maintain real continuous connections to servers
as opposed to the simulated ones found in old school AJAX.

Communications between the HTML5 context and the AsterClick is performed within an XML protocol that is Asterisk version agnostic and affords hooks for
custom events and commands to loadable modules.

  • XSL/XML
XSL in conjunction with XML provide a powerful tool that allows the structure of things and the data those structures contain to be separated. This means that given an XML file of pure information, XSL can be used to make patterns of HTML and other structure work much like CSS references do. Here we discuss all them great issues involving XSL/XML
