Some time in the late 70's , I toggled in my first computer program and was hooked for life!.
Some time in the mid 90's , I made my first program for the internet and I was hooked for life.

More and more the web browser is becoming the place where all computers regardless of their OS meet. The abilites of web browsers has progressed to the point where arcade quality video games and desktop qaulity applications software are all possible. Standards compliance is even appearing in IE (who would have thunk it)

This forum is an effort to start refining my web site in general by answering questions and updating / adding related documentation.

  • AsterClick
    AsterClick is an HTML5/WebSocket based gateway to the Asterisk AMI interface allowing web based applications real time control of all aspects of Asterisk that are accessible from AMI (Which is basically everything).

    This is NOT AJAX, but rather something far far superior, as unlike AJAX, HTML5 browsers can maintain real continuous connections to servers
    as opposed to the simulated ones found in old school AJAX.

    Communications between the HTML5 context and the AsterClick is performed within an XML protocol that is Asterisk version agnostic and affords hooks for
    custom events and commands to loadable modules.

    SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) is an awesome standards based way to create graphics that can scale to any size and whose individual image elements can even be scripted via javascript, and or merged with XML data via XSL to create data driven presentations , be they simple graphs and charts or awesome games.
